LIFEGUARDING 

The Shanna & Bryan Glazer JCC offers a wide variety of classes taught by American Red Cross Certified Instructors.

 

Classes include:

Lifeguarding,

CPR/FA/AED,

Junior Lifeguarding,

American Red Cross
FIRST AID / CPR / AED PROGRAM

The primary purpose of the American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED program is to help participants recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing, and first aid emergencies. The course in this program teaches participants the knowledge and skills needed to give immediate care to an injured or ill person and to decide whether advanced medical care is needed. American Red Cross
LIFEGUARD CERTIFICATION

Mezrah Family Aquatic Center

 

Cost: Members $200  |  Guests $250.

 

 

Through videos, group discussion and hands-on practice, you’ll learn teamwork, rescue skills, surveillance skills, First Aid, CPR/AED and more.

 

These are all skills you will need to work as a professional lifeguard. This course is blended learning, which means you will be required to complete a portion of the class online. Successful completion results in a 2-year certification in lifeguarding that includes First Aid, professional-level CPR and AED in one certificate. Digital certificate available upon successful completion of course.

 

Participants are not eligible for a refund if classes are not passed.

 

PRE-REQUISITE SWIM TEST

  • 300 yard swim using freestyle and breaststroke
  • Timed Brick Retrieval Event
  • 2 minute Tread with No Hands
  • Must be at least 15 years of age on or before the final scheduled session of this course to participate
